This Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference into Coin Up, LLC’s Terms of Use. The terms “Coin Up,”“we,” and “us” include Coin Up, LLC and our affiliates and subsidiaries. The Privacy Policy explains how Coin Up may collect, use, and disclose information we obtain through the “Coin Up Service.” Any capitalized terms used and not defined in this Privacy Policy shall have the meaning given to them in the Terms of Use.

“Personal Information” can be used to readily identify, contact, or locate you.

Personal Information” means information that alone or when in combination with other information may be used to readily identify, contact, or locate you, such as: name, address, email address, or phone number. We do not consider Personal Information to include information that has been anonymized so that it does not allow a third party to easily identify a specific individual.

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, “users” use the Coin Up Service to make donations, and “non-profits” use the Coin Up Service to receive donations.

THE COIN UP SERVICE COLLECTS YOUR INFORMATION

We collect Personal Information when you:

  • register to use the Coin Up Service;
  • use the Coin Up Service; and
  • communicate with us.

We also collect information, such as anonymous usage statistics, by using cookies, server logs, and other similar technology as you use the Coin Up Service.

You can choose not to provide us with certain information, but that may result in you being unable to use certain features of our Website and App because such information may be required in order for you to use the Coin Up Service; purchase products or services; communicate with us; or initiate other transactions on our Website and App.

Registration and Account Information. You must register to use the Coin Up Service. To register as a user, you may need to provide Personal Information to us, such as your name, email address, telephone number, and password. To register as a non-profit and become a “Member Charity”, you may need to provide the organization’s information to us, such as its name, contact person, mailing address, email address, telephone number, and tax identification number. You may also provide other optional information for better donor engagement.

Account Numbers & Online Banking Log-in Credentials. You may be required to provide our third-party service providers with Personal Information, such as your credit and debit card numbers, bank account numbers, and/or your online banking log-in credentials. We currently use other platforms, including Stripe and Plaid, to handle and store this information, and by using the Coin Up Service you also agree to their terms and conditions of use and privacy policy (Plaid’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy; Stripe’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy).

Financial Transaction Information. If we are providing the Coin Up Service to you as a “Round Up” user, our third-party service provider, Plaid, will use your online banking log-in credentials to retrieve and allow us to view, using a secure client token and not your actual bank card information, the transaction details for transactions you make using the credit and debit cards you have connected to your profile. We use that information to calculate the amount you will donate each month. You expressly grant Plaid the right, power, and authority to access and transmit this financial transaction data as reasonably necessary to provide its services to us and you.

Making Donations and Paying Donations. When we process donations (either deduct them from users’ accounts or pay them to nonprofits), we may receive summary information about the transactions that does not include credit card or bank account numbers. Our third-party payment processors (currently Stripe) handle and store your credit and debit card and bank account information.
